Go For Your Dreams

Go for your dreams- a guiding principle of Loilyn Bubbles Jugan, our contributor at this time. She's an outspoken and an achiever young girl. She owes her existence to God and to the two wonderful people in her life- her father Luisito Jugan Sr. and mom, Helen Jugan. Their family resides in Sitio Pilapilan in Yati, Liloan Cebu.

She has the following as her siblings:

1. Luisito Jugan  Jr.- a 26 years old who works as a trainer at Wipro Philippines. Like Bubbles, he also is dreamer who wants to be successful in everything he does. Apart from that, he also aspires a lot about financial stability.

2. Loie Lyndon Jugan- Bubbles' 19 year old brother who is currently a student of Normal University. His aspiration in life is to be a good educator someday.
Seeing the exemplary deeds of his teachers while he was still in his elementary and high school days, he is greatly inspired by them thus moulding this dream somebody to be one of them.

3. Loie Lyndie Jugan- a 17 year old student at La Consolacin College and whose aspiration is to be a successful individual in all her undertakings and also to land in an excellent job.

Meanwhile for Bubbles, as she is fondly called by loved ones and by friends, she is presently connected with the prestigious Lexmark Research and Development Corp. as its Deployment Project Coordinator. Being an achiever, this 30 year old lady is dreaming of experiencing skydiving one day. She could not help herself but be thrilled by this once in a lifetime experience.

She also believes in the importance of the family thus she dreams of having one of her own in the future. Her dream of a holiday place is Kenya or anywhere in South Africa. Furthermore, she wants to learn as many languages as she can and she shared her dream of building one day a beautiful home for her parents.

Thanks a lot Bubbles for sharing your life and family with our blog.

Being Selfless for Others

" Being selfless for others".....these are the wonderful words of Jake Bocado, member of our clan whom I will feature through this blog post. At his stage today, he has been to various challenges in life. Indeed, he is so grateful to all the examples of his parents, Rosanna Jugan Bocado and Ruel Bocado, for they raised him up as a loving and determined son. The following are his thoughts on my sharing with him:

a. In your stage now, what has been the greatest challenge that has come into your life?

Jake: In this stage of my life, being the breadwinner of the family has been my greatest challenge. Before, I thought that as I graduated in university, life would be easier. In reality, it is not. You have to consider a lot of things and you have to spend the money wisely. I become more selfless for my family.

b. How did you face the challenge?

Jake: I lessen my time for myself. I mean, I have to give up some of the things that I love to do. I have become more focus on my job as an ESL teacher and even have rendered more working hours to have enough income.

c. Who motivates you in your life?

Jake: The reason of all these things is my family. I am more motivated to see them happy. I am more motivated to see my sister who always does her best in order to finish her apprenticeship and earn a degree in college. Everything has become better when I see them like that.

Those were his thoughts and aside from that, here are some of his achievements:

- Licensed Professional Teacher
- Trainer at QQ English Philippines
- consistent class valedictorian
- Cebu Technological University (CTU) Cum Laude
- 2014 National PACSA Poster Making Champion
- 2016 Outstanding Teacher QQ English

Hence, all his relatives are so proud of all his deeds and aside from that, his examples are worth imitating most notably to the younger members of our family.

Gathering Together In Joy and Love

One way of celebrating with joy the past New Year's Day event was to spend it together with loved ones. That's exactly what happened when members of Jugan clan in particular the Alfredo Sr.- Concordia Jugan Family gathered last January 1, 2017 to cherish the said occasion and to have a reunion.

The get together was started at 7 p.m. with the sharing of food. After a while greeting each one how was the past holiday season was spent, they proceeded to enjoy the taste of the various yummy foods especially the ever favourite and well known delicacy, the lechon (thanks to donours like Alfredo "Tingga"  and others).

After the meal, several games followed and the most enjoyable one was the competition participated by the eldest members of the different Jugan households. Such game was the blowing of flour and what made it so delightful was the fact that when one participant blew his/her flour, the rest of it went to his/her face making it so white. Lucky winner of this contest was the eldest member of Tingga family.

Aside from the well applauded and full of laughters games, there was also the exchanging of gifts and each one was full of excitement and joy  as he/she hold on to her present.

Before the closing of the event, a raffle was also held and everyone was so grateful to its sponsors. Indeed it was such a memorable event to welcome the start of the year 2017. And everyone was thankful to all those who have shared their time, energy, resources and talent to make this 2017 reunion a reality.
